Fender Exclusive Ens Strat MN STN SFG

Neck finishing isn't good - nut painted over, frets painted over, some little kinks in the finish of the neck.

Big problems with the tuning - needed to remove the spring from the 6th string saddle and cut the spring of the 5th spring saddle, as the scale was too short for these strings to be in tune.

The guitar was not prepared to be played at all out of the box - strings too low, out of tune, everything buzzing like crazy. I sent it back to Thomann - they made the set-up, cleaned the frets from the varnish, corrected the bridge. BUT - the guitar was still out of tune and buzzing. After putting a work myself it is quite ok now, I guess, I like it and play it a lot - but I would never buy it again for sure.

Generally quality control is super low - I would expect much more from the brand like Fender and from this price point as well. Also - I expected that the guitar will come back fully repaired/set up properly from Thomann, which was not the case as well.

Good things - the color is fantastic, it is not too heavy, the body is finished very well, sound is good, playability is very good, I like the neck shape very much.

The only thing I can say - if you buy a guitar from Thomann and you have problems, just send it back fast and get your money back.

The good…arrived in Cyprus within four days of placing the order……the nut width really was 43mm……it was playable out of the box….the pickups sound great

The bad…..at this price point it should come with a decent soft case like the PRS Se’s
The nut ends projected off the neck and were very sharp
The fret ends are dangerously sharp…I think my guitar missed the rounding off stage at the factory!
The input jack socket nut was hanging off …. not even finger tight !
The Trem was not correctly set

All sorted now and set up to my spec……but I have the amateur expertise and tools to address the issues …a lot of customers do not

It is now a very good Strat but I suspect a lot of customers would have sent it back

So just be aware if you are considering a purchase

I've had the guitar for about a week and I'm satisfied with it. I'll start with the cons before moving on to the pros which luckily made me keep it.

The body is very light which gives you an impression of cheapness but the more you play it the more it starts to vibrate and delivers the harmonics you'd expect from a strat.

Where were their heads at when they thought "oh, let's cover the sides and the lower parts of the nut with the neck's finish, it'll look premium"... Well maybe it would if the job wasn't done so sloppily.

The satin finish works absolutely great for the neck but not for the body, at least aestheticaly. It looks shinier in the photos than in reality, it looks a bit cheap to be honest.

The pros are that the 12 inch radius neck feels and plays great, the pickups sound great too and deliver everything you'd expect from a classic strat.

The bridge saddles are very precise and keep the guitar in tune, even through and extensive use and whammy bar action.

The guitar came well intonated and set up. Pickup height is accurate and I don't see much to tweek or change on this great sounding classic strat.
