Bought it for the neck, kept it for the fretwork
Very interesting model - it's neck profile is much slimmer when compared to most of the Precision basses I've played; almost feels like it could be a JB neck. Definitely could be considered by people that are used to JBs or electric guitars with e.g. modern C who are looking for a smooth transition into playing Precisions.
Fretwork and overall woodwork was surprisingly good, matching or besting several of the made in Mexico basses I had in my hands. Lacquered maple is a very specific type of finish, but I love its smoothness and feel.
Downsides: scratchy pots and noisy electronics. Thankfully those are much cheaper to fix or replace on your own than something like polishing the fret crowns, but are definitely something that could use some attention before gigging or recording.
