Friedman BE-OD Deluxe Overdrive

First of al it's not actually a overdrive pedal, it's heavy distortion with tons of gain. If someone is looking for booster or light overdrive will be dissapointed. It behaves like high gain amp, very natural sounding pedal. Perfect for any heavy styles of music.
One the other hand, it"s very versatile, thanks to internal gain pots for reducing or adding amount of gain for each channel. Not cheap pedal, but worth it's price.

Finally a pedal that does what it needs to do. Most dual distortion pedals have a boost section that in general boosts the gain of the pedal, and I wanted and needed a volume boost. I have owned a Blackstar HT Metal pedal for a long time, but it was to bulky, and needed a seperate power supply and had a tube in it. For a non stop gigging musician those 3 things are a no no, at least for me. So with this product I got a normal sized pedal, two volume independant channels (gain trimpot inside of pedal, awesome) and it runs on 9V (or 18V with a double cable). And the sound... fantastic. Some of the online videos don't do this pedal justice. When you try it and play it, the feel of a Friedman tube amp that you get is unbelievable... the EQ is not extreme and is very usable, it has a lot of gain but even all the way up it is not unusable, the little presence knob and the tight switch is fantastic too for fine tuning your sound depending on what guitar and amp you use. Very versatile. Usually I can say at least one bad thing about a product but this time I have nothing.. Thank you Friedman.
