I was looking for something that gave me a bit more brightness than my nylon tape wounds but not quite as lively as the roundwounds. As far as sound is concerned these strings do the business. My reason for not giving a perfect 10 is this: they are a wee bit sticky under the fingers. This can be sorted out by using string lube before playing. Otherwise these are worth trying.

Fanno senz'altro il loro lavoro. Suono brillante, piacevoli al tatto ed essendo lisce si evita lo "stridio" classico delle roundwond. Unica pecca è che dopo appena 2 settimane di utilizzo, neanche troppo assiduo, si sono già ossidate in alcuni punti. Peccato, non ci fosse stato questo inconveniente avrei senz'altro riconfermato l'acquisto.

Haptik und Saitenspannung sind ausgesprochen angenehm und vermitteln ein kontrolliertes, komfortables Spielgefühl. Auf meinem Guild B-140E entwickeln sie eine bemerkenswerte Lautstärke für die Flatwound-Saiten; dies dürfte an der Bronze-Legierung in Kombination mit den resonanten Eigenschaften des Basses liegen. Die Tonentfaltung ist über alle Saiten hinweg ausgewogen. Die Saiten reagieren feinfühlig. Über die Spielweise sind Dynamik und Artikulation sehr gut kontrollierbar. Stimmstabil. Pflegeleicht.
Negativ: eigentlich nichts. Die Oberfläche beim regelmäßigen spielen wird schnell matt.
