lovely feel and sound

I put these on my New Hartford Guild F30, to see how they would preform. normally 12's are recommend on this size, style guitar, but I felt I wanted to try something slightly beefier, so with these the core is round rather than hexagonal which lowers the tension. I was previously using Martin retro 12's which are very nice and suit the guitar quite well. This thin core GHS set feel lovely under the fingers and a'rent quite as heavy and the standard 13 gauge set, the string set is very balanced from E-E and the volume and clarity has also increased, very pleased with them. Going to try GHS on my telecaster next, hopefully with similar results!!! Thanks

Not bad at all

I like buying USA made gear wherever possible but I still think Martin 12-54 flexible core with a .13 on top feel and play better. The B string is too unbalanced as is the bottom E imo. The 12s set is great though..

But they feel thinner than that. Good strings, nice sound. They don't feel as stiff as other 13's due to the round core inside.

Le Graal en DADGAD !

Sur ma Martin D35 en DADGAD, c'est juste parfait !
Habitué aux Daddario, Elixir et Martin en 12-53, je trouvais trouvais que les Ré grave/aigus et le La aigu étaient mous et ne ressortaient pas. Il y avait un déséquilibre tonal.
Passé en Medium, sur ces mêmes marques, j'avais l'impression de me battre avec des "câbles", d'avoir pleins de faussetés par endroits, que ça sonnait boomy et le réglage du trussrod et de l'action n'y changeaient rien.

Avec ce jeu de tension hybride, j'ai enfin des Ré graves et aigus qui ont de la pêche et une bonne dynamique. l'ensemble est plus chantant et équilibré et la tension est plus souple pour du jeu au doigt ou flatpicking.

Je ne comprends pas que GHS soient les seuls à proposer ce tirant. Merci les gars !
