Gotoh SGL510Z-L5 3L/3R Tuners G

I am an amateur guitarist and collector of interesting instruments. In May 2024, I bought a Takamine EG 236 SHB guitar with a large Dreadnought body. It was a short series produced in 2011-2012 in Korea. On the day of purchase, the guitar was already 12 years old, but it was a brand new instrument in its original packaging. I bought the guitar with the intention of using it in a tuning lowered by a whole tone - from D. The original 1:15 tuners did not ensure good standing. So I bought Gotoh SGL510Z-L5 3L / 3R Tuners G from Thomann. Takamine went to an excellent luthier, Lewicki Custm Guitars, who "improved" the factory :-)). Gotoh tuners with a 1:21 ratio and D'Addario Flat Tops Light 12-53 EFT16 strings do their job perfectly. The guitar with original electronics has the sound I expected - strong and very deep. I recommend Gotoh keys for such experiments :-)) Jacek.

I bought these tuners to put on my Ibanez ar2619 prestige which is already a guitar with excellent intonation and neck stability.
Although the tuners that came with it are Gotoh and good quality I felt they didn't do the rest of the guitars qualities justice so I decided to upgrade them and was sincerely impressed with the level of quality, like the title says "Smooth, stable and solid!".

In my 30 years of guitar playing and guitar tuning, I have never felt such perfection on tuners such as with these. Not to mention the installation is breeze and the esthetics are stunning.

They feel so comfortable in your fingers to turn and the precision is incredible whether your are tuning up or down. Honestly my guitar stays in tune for days at a time if there are no significant temperature changes in the room which have more effect on the wood of the guitar as opposed to the tuners.

So finally if you want to leave aside forever the inconsistencies of tuning machine heads, get yourself a set of these.
