Hagstrom Viking Black

The Hagström Viking is a very nice guitar with a nice price tag as well. The pickups are beautifully dark and soft sounding, and the guitar also sounds good even without an amp. That's a good thing for someone like me, since I rarely use an amp when I'm playing at home.

The neck of the guitar feels good and is easy to play. Playing chords, barres etc. is quite effortless and light. Playing solos with the Viking is easy and fun too, because the neck is not too thick to make it clumsy and slow.

This guitar is not very expensive, but I have no complaints about it's quality. The frets are nice and smooth, and there's no annoying string buzzing or anything like that. All the hardware works just as it's supposed to, and the guitar was easy to adjust the way I like it. In my opinion this guitar feels and sounds like it should cost much more money, but I'm glad it doesn't!

Was für eine tolle Gitarre! Habe mir diese Gitarre vor zwei Jahren selbst zu Weihnachten geschenkt und bin noch immer zufrieden mit meiner Wahl.

Clean ein super warmer Sound, verzerrt richtig fett. Verzerrt? Ja klar, man kann auf dem Ding nicht nur Blues oder Jazz spielen, sondern auch richtig schönen Punk. Und wenn man's mit dem Gain nicht übertreibt, dann pfeifft's auch nicht allzusehr. Sicherlich lässt sich das bei einer Hollow-Body-Gitarre nie ganz vermeiden.Die Optik ist sowieso bestechend, von der wunderschönen Kopflatte, über das Binding, bis hin zur Saitenhalterung. Schwedisches Design einfach. Nur den Pickschutz könnte man sich sparen, aber den kann man ja abschrauben.

Von der Verarbeitung her, kann man nicht meckern. Einzig die Bundstäbchen sind teilweise nicht ganz 100%ig sauber eingesetzt und die Gitarre kippt nach vorne, wenn man sie nicht in Bluesmanier unter dem Kinn spielt. Das macht das Spielen ein wenig anstrengend und gewöhnungsbedürftig.
Alles in Allem ein tolle Gitarre, die ihren Preis allemal wert ist.

Très belle guitare, avec quelques détails sympa, tels que le logo "H" sur le tailpiece. Prix raisonnable pour guitare de type demi-caisse.

plus: Manche très fine et agréable a jouer. Bon son pour bleus, rock..
moins: Il fallait limer les frettes un peu pour pouvoir descendre les cordes, qui étaient trop haut.

A noter: dans la photo les ouïes sont en "S", mais quand j'ai recu la guitare ils etaient en "F".
