Harley Benton Baritone-7 SBK

I’ll start with the cons. After not so long time the pickup switch started to having an issue. When I am switching to the middle or bridge position the bridge pickup sometimes does not work. When I wiggle the switch a bit it works again. But this is so small issue that I don’t even bother to do anything about it. Also the stock pickups sounds average but for this price it’s still better than I’ve expected. From the pros side the finishing of the guitar is awesome. It’s made very well and feels nice. Additionally thanks to locking tuners it holds the tune even after some hard playing. My overall impression is very good for the price

So ive had this guitar for a month or two now and i think its finally time i give this guitar a review.
So out of the box the guitar didn't come with any flaws like sharp frets or any cracks and dents, so that's good. The construction is nice and comfortable too, i like the finish on the neck BUT BEWARE, sweat clings a lot to matte finishes like on this guitars body and neck so keep that in mind if you have sweaty hands like me. The fact that this guitar has locking tuners is really good especially considering the price of this guitar. The bridge and nut don't have any flaws. The pickups are decent. The fretwork is... meh, not the best but not bad to the point of making the guitar unplayable. But after like a week of playing the pickups started humming but that might just be a grounding issue so the electronics could be a little better but it dosen't make the guitar unplayable.
Overall i give this guitar a solid 7.5/10. If you are looking for a budget friendly 7 string that can handle low tunings really well then this is the right pick for you :)

i received the guitar with a good setup,lowered it a little bit...perfect. no dead spots,excellent.
the first thing you notice is the very cool look. agressive but stylish. the finish is something i would describe as "semi-satin"..it still got some shine to it but is satin.
the pickups look almost like BKPs and got much clarity and can handle the 7th string very nice...all 7 strings sounds balanced and can give you nice cleans and work extremely well with gain.
my guitar weights 3.5kg is balanced on my leg and on a strap..no neck dive.
the whole construction is something you wouldnt expect in this price range. the neck-through design is something you will want on every guitar from now on. you can reach the 24th fret without any problems.
i could go on and on here.
so: highly recommended guitar...this machine here competes with everything double the price and higher imo.
dont get fooled by the price tag!
some tiny problems in finish around the neck/body area like always,thats it. i gave it 4 stars in features because most HBs nowadays come with coil split...these pickups here are splittable but they didnt use it...but thats picky.
