Harley Benton JB-62SB

After about month of playing, I can finally say something about this bass. Unfortunately, after receiving it, some shortcomings became apparent. The neck moves slightly in the pocket when pressed hard, causing it to lose its tuning (the neck pivots in the pocket). The screws are already tightened to the max, and there's no way to fix this problem without adding veneer or a spacer. Inspecting the neck pocket revealed that the neck is very tight in the pocket, which caused a piece of the varnish to flake off when I pulled it out. After playing for a while, I have to say that the Roswell pickups are little noisy. The hum is loud, even with both pickups set to the same volume. Reducing the tone to minimum helps slightly, but then the jazz loses all its color. As a "better" bass, I expected a bit more from it. The complaint with Thomann went smoothly, and I got a small discount for the pivoting neck; I plan to secure it with some spacers. Overall JB-62 is not bad bass but if you are beginner any PB like PB-20 will be definitely the better choice for a first bass.
