A blessing to have a pack of high Es
Now I honestly don't know how my high E broke, because I am pretty sure I was detuning it and not overtuning. Changing the whole set seemed overkill for now because the guitar is new, and also it was my first restringing ever, so I'm incredibly happy that this 6-pack of .009 is a thing. I messed up the first attempt so I grabbed a second one and it works.
Now, as my guitar is Harley Benton, too, the strings it came with are different to these (eyelet is different) - not sure if they're HQS or some other. I think the stock ones have more output and generally sound fuller. These do feel quite budget. But hey, they quite literally cost about €1.40 a pack. For that price you don't expect fireworks. I bought other sets to test different gauges, too, so I'll see about them later.
