that retro charm

i fell in love with this guitar, from its cool vintage 60s look to its sound. really nice to handle and the action is fluid. i used it for recording and its great. you cant go wrong with a hofner, i really didnt want that violin model, too cliche. this bass suits my style and i love it. id recommend to anyone looking for that old style twinkle in their songs.

réédition "moderne" de la 500/7 ,le sustain est impressionnant pour qui possède une vraie hofner mais c'est un instrument tout a fait agréable a jouer et a regarder.
une mécanique a cassé immédiatement (changement de corde pour des filets plat obligatoire)et les cordes de hofner sont trop courtes dufait que le manche est très haut sur la caisse.

angenehm vor allem für Gelegenheitsbasser

Ich spiele als Gitarrist gelegentlich Bass. Da ist dieses Modell für mich besonders gut geeignet, da es in der äußeren Form der ES335 sehr ähnlich ist und dementsprechend angenehm im Sitzen oder im Stehen gespielt werden kann. Weiterhin ist es leicht und als Shortscale muss man sich nicht so arg recken.

Der Klang ist für meine Ohren angenehm.

Ich habe wohl eins der ersten Modelle weltweit bekommen, dabei lässt speziell die Montageexaktheit der Potis zu wünschen übrig. Aber da man selten daran schraubt, fällt das Schräge nicht auf!

La qualité de finition n'est malheureusement pas rendez-vous. Des traces de projection de peinture sur la table, le sunburst trop prononcé (par rapport aux photos flateuses présentées sur le site thomann.de) et la table n'est pas si flammée que cela au final. Les potentiomètres sont montés à la va-vite, de travers. Le plus gros défaut reste le suivant : l'instrument buzze affreusement lorsque 1 des 2 micros est coupé (encore pire qu'une Jazz Bass Fender). Il y a un gros défaut d'isolation (inhérent à ce type d'instruments ?)

Le confort de jeu n'est pas non plus phénoménal, mais cela est sans doute du aux proportions "vintage" de l'instrument.

Reste qu'une fois tous ces défauts intégrés, le son est assez intéressant, bien équilibré sur toutes les cordes et les micros. Peu de sustain, donc pour le jazz, ca me semble un instrument adéquat. Le manche est agréable (envisagez de changer les cordes...) et on apprécie le fait qu'on puisse assez au-delà du ré dans la partie haute du manche.

Bref, pour 799EUR, on attendait un meilleur rapport qualité/prix.
