After buying an American Fender Strat that I had to return due to multiple build issues, it took me a few weeks to decide to buy this Ibanez. At first, I wasn’t convinced, the guitar isn’t beautiful comparing to the fender ultra 2, and for the first two weeks I seriously considered returning it.
after two weeks of playing and comparing it directly to the American Fender Ultra II, I had to admit that this guitar is superior in build quality, playability, and overall performance. The 9 pickup positions are truly useful, and if you play a wide range of genres, you’ll actually use them.
The guitar is well built, comfortable, and clearly high quality. I’ve played Gibson guitars my entire life, and I’ve never been a fan of mid-range guitars like LTD, Epiphone, or similar brands. This Ibanez truly feels like a top-tier instrument and can easily be used as a main guitar.
The HSS pickup configuration makes it extremely versatile, and combined with the 9 pickup positions, it allows you to cover virtually any genre. The guitar is not too heavy, which makes it easy to choose as a main instrument for live concerts.
After a month of daily playing, I haven’t found any issues(except for the color, why Ibanez? Why this color from many other options?). believe me, I really tried to find reasons to return it, because I don’t like the color. In the end, the color is a small price to pay for such a high-quality guitar.
