Big surprise

When I first ordered this guitar I didn't realize it was a micro guitar ,it's not much much of a micro just a slightly shorter scale length ,but wow when I picked it up it was amazing ,effortless string bends ,fantastic tension ,so much fun ,it's light ,fast and the maple neck has great bite ,I can see why Paul Gilbert uses this model on stage live ,I could not flaw the pickups great harmonics and well suited to so many playing styles ,a fantastic guitar for All age groups ,love it

Few strange things but one awesome guitar to have.

Cons:
- Tuners go out of tune on basic bends.
- The bridge intonation is ridiculously weird. It feels like the whole bridge should have been drilled 1/2 cm further. I had to remove some springs to move the saddles far enough.
- Here and there some strange things - like a strange gap between the neck and the body. The volume knob is real hard to turn. It touches the body! Why?! Oh China... Yet everything works ^-^

Pros:
- The cons above are all solvable. I mean the guitar is built well (straight neck, paint job is awesome) it is possible to put some money and time to make it really good.
- Beautiful.
- Sounds really good.

Conclusion:
- Worth the money, really fun to play a small scale Ibanez.

Big Paul Gilbert fan but this Guitar cant be taken seriously

I love Paul music and style and, wishing to emulate him, even on a low budget way, I purchased this guitar.
Unfortunately, I've been really dissappointed with it: You get what you paid for, is not the best deal.
The sound is not bad but the touch of the maple neck feels like those of the cheap beginner's guitar+amp bundles.
THE BEST:
The pick-ups get a great sound, bright, aggressive but also versatile for a wide range of tunes.
THE WORST:
The building of the guitar, it's impossible to keep it on tune for more than 2 minutes, that makes even playing a single song almost impossible if you want to perform correctly.

I would recommend it as a beginners guitar, but because of how easy it looses the tuning, I would recommend other type.
Probably the tunning loss is due to the fact that is a 3/4 guitar, but still, after all those stickets and "quality seals" of Ibanez, I was expecting something with more playable quality.

As a collection guitar is cool of course, but not a real option to practice in the long term.

PS: I dont want to sound like a hater of the guitar or the brand. I've been playing guitar for 20 years and have a colection of around 12 guitars. I'm actually sad it didnt fill my expectations. Sorry.

Greatness let down by pickups

Guitar is BEAUTIFUL! Zero finish flaws. It plays a bit different than full size guitars. You have to have a light touch on the strings, or it plays a little out of tune. Once you adjust, it plays fast and fun.
The only downside, is the pickups sound pretty bad. Clean? Bad. Distortion? Bad. Pickup change and this thing is super unique, gorgeous and a player....for cheap
