Outstanding sound quality and a huge step forward
I’m genuinely impressed with the TONEX Board. I upgraded from a BOSS GX-100 and the difference in sound quality was immediately noticeable.
What impressed me most is how natural the amp tones feel. The overdriven and distorted sounds are more organic, dynamic and spacious, and the guitar responds much better to picking dynamics and playing style. The sound is full and punchy, without the harshness or “plastic” character.
The factory presets are already a nice starting point and the huge range of Tone Models opens up practically endless possibilities for further experimentation. The XLR outputs are also a big plus, especially when connecting directly to a mixer or PA.
After using it for a few days, I feel like I finally have a piece of gear that doesn’t just simulate an amplifier — it actually inspires me to play.
