Use strings that suit your guitar

Its a case of horses for courses 15.02.2021

I had a new guitar and had strung it with La Bella 2000 light for its first stringing. A good result but, sustain seemed weak.
I then tried Vivace Medium tension. There is a lot of stretch in these strings and they took a while to settle down, The 1st string is thin and seemed to need a fairly high tension. There is very good sustain and richness to the tone and a good evenness in response, A very good response to harmonics. Not sure that they are right for this guitar as there is not the distinction in the notes that I would like but I find La Bella normally offer very good strings.

Bonne cordes mais pas pour ma guitare !

Cette évaluation est tout à fait personnelle.
Tout d'abord ma guitare est un Flamenca "Hermanos Camps Primera Negra" et pour mon goût ces cordes ne conviennent pas à la sonorité que je recherche. Et oui, chaque instruments procure des couleurs que le guitariste doit savoir mettre en valeur, par son jeu et aussi par son rapport avec l'instrument au travers du touché et de la réponse.

Je conseille tout même ces cordes car elle peuvent mieux sonner sur une autre guitare.
