Liebenzeller Metal Rosin Gold Cello

I discovered this Liebenzeller rosin first yet in about 1998 and became definite fan of it since then. Being professional soloist cellist I tried several leading rosin manufacturers products but couldn't compare this one with any "non-metal" rosin. Really durable, with much less dust than any other rosin, it helps to produce wonderful warm and projective sound.
When my first piece of Liebenzeller Gold IV got out, I desperately tried to find where to buy the next one for some years. Than I discovered a variation of Liebenzeller made by Larica, and that is the only rosin of similar quality!
In fact, currently I use Liebenzeller Gold IV as most versatile option when playing 19-21 centuries music; Liebenzeller Gold III when needed a more light sound in chamber music; Larica Meteor IV Metal rosin for solos with orchestra (it gives the most bright and strengthen sound) and finally Larica Silver III Metal rosin for Baroque music played either cello or viola da gamba.
I always recommend Liebenzeller and Larica for all my music academy students as well and happy to recommend these brands to anyone from beginners to professionals. It indeed worthy of its price.

I was thinking that my technique was wrong, that my cello needed to go back to the luthier, that I needed new strings etc... We all go through phases I imagine.
I did not know what it was about but I was dissatisfied by my experience with the cello and tried many changes of strings endpin tailpiece,different bow hand techniques etc...
This roisin is amazing at grabing the string and give me chance to play as I think! Grabby but supple at the same time,never scratchy but if I execute wrong, creamy to pull the fundamentals and brings colours.

I already improved after a few days and my cello never sounded like that!
Now I feel that I really play for 3 years...

Das Liebenzeller Metal Rosin Gold für Cello hat mich absolut überzeugt. Es lässt sich sehr gleichmäßig auftragen und sorgt sofort für einen warmen, klaren und tragenden Ton. Besonders beeindruckend finde ich die Balance zwischen Griffigkeit und Geschmeidigkeit – die Ansprache ist präzise, ohne dass das Spielgefühl rau oder kratzig wirkt. Ich kann es allen Cellist:innen empfehlen, die nach einem Kolophonium suchen, das sowohl im Solo- als auch im Ensemble-Spiel überzeugt. Für mich gehört es ab sofort zur Standardausrüstung!
