I'm mainly playing electric guitars (several bands, various genres), mainly playing gigs in small venues. Occasionally, I want to play at home, singing alone or with friends. There may also be some need to use an acoustic guitar in one of my bands. I had in mind to buy a Maton SRS808C (or another Maton), mainly because of its reputation for having the "best" pickup system (in case I need to play on stage). I wanted a guitar with a cutaway, and a neck reminiscent of an electric guitar. I came across a review on guitar.com, giving the score 9/10 to this Martin. At Thomann, I've also tried comparable Taylor guitars. I've thoroughly compared guitars with and without amps.
Finally, I chose the Martin, mainly because of its playability and sound. When plugged into an (acoustic guitar) amp (e.g. Fishman), the Maton did not sound much better (to my ears). I know I should have done a test on a stage for a more comprehensive comparison, but that was not an option.
Back home, I find that the Martin satisfies my expectations and needs (it's also very light), although I didn't yet have a chance to play live with it. I'm not giving 5/5 stars simply because I cannot rule out that there are other guitars which are even better. More specifically, the sound is not as full as it could be (compared to some of my friend's dreadnought guitars); the quality is very good (there is nothing I could criticize, but more expensive guitars may have still better quality); its features are very good, but that more expensive guitars may still be better.
All in all, the Martin provides a good trade-off among my demands and the price.
