Yes - ultimate snare

I bought the Meinl The Ultimate Snare Stomp Box as an early Christmas pressie for a bandmate. She already has the Kick and Percussion versions of this, so I knew the quality would be up to scratch.

She's actually a cahon player so can now be "hands-free" to add additional percussive touches - though obviously there is a learning curve here! The pedal works beautifully in tandem with the Kick box - offering a mix and match selection and some unusual combination are possible.

The pedals can be daisy-chained very easily so she only needs one amplifier input for the set of 3 pedals. The recipient of my pressie should be writing this really - but I can tell you the selection of snare sounds are excellent and offer lots of variety. And I can also tell you there is a big smile on our percussionists face when using the pedals!

Remember to unplug the INPUT when not in use to avoid wasting battery life.

Nichts für mich

Als Akustik Gitarrist wollte ich mein Sound etwas aufpäppeln, aber mir gefallen die Sounds nicht. Vor allem weil Samples sehr kurz sind und es gibt keine dynamische Abstufung; man kann zwar "dynamisch" mit dem Fuss auslösen aber Ergebniss ist eben immer der gleiche Sound nur halt leiser oder lauter. Das hat mit Dynamik nichts zu tun. Bedienung hat auch so seine Tücken; für Soundwechsel gibt es ein winziges Knöpchen hitnten am Gehäuse zusammen mit einem winzigen Lautstärkeregler. Soundauswahl geht nur in eine Richtung und wenn ich von Sound 7 auf 5 wechseln will muss ich 12x drücken. Die Sounds sind nur nummeriert aber niergendwo beschriftet. So muss man gutes Gedächniss haben oder die Sounds kurz anspielen, was live super nervig ist. Wahlrad mit entsprechender Beschriftung wäre deutlich bequemer und schneller zu handhaben.
