Simple, Reliable Sustain Pedal

I bought the Nektar NP-2 as a basic sustain pedal for my MIDI keyboard, wanting something affordable that wouldn't feel like a cheap plastic toy. The solid metal pedal and heavy rubber base immediately surprised me—it has great weight and stays firmly planted on hardwood floors without sliding away during playing. The spring resistance feels natural, much closer to an acoustic piano than flimsy square switch pedals, and the polarity switch underneath makes it instantly compatible with any keyboard out of the box. The only minor detail is that the mechanical click is slightly audible in a quiet room, but it's never an issue once you have headphones on. For the price, it is a no-nonsense, reliable pedal that does the job perfectly and feels durable enough to last for years.

A great pedal for a low price

Landed on this product while looking to replace my lightweight plastic pedal which was becoming increasingly more irritating to chase around with my foot. This one is heavy enough to remain in place, and the mechanism feels smooth with just enough resistance. Can't speak about its durability yet, but the first few weeks using it have been great.

Heavy, solid, quiet - for now

First impressions are good. Everything works smoothly and silently. We'll see how that holds up in a few months.
The polarity switch is handy.
I light the weight. The last thing you want on stage is for the sustain pedal to slide all over the place. I'll still take a brick or something really heavy to prop it up. The rubber on the bottom can only grip so much.
