This is Neve! Made in England! And this is not a Cargo cult. Everything sounds fantastic on vocals and instruments. Often trying to save money and buying things that are not original, I think we make a mistake, in China you can also make a Mercedes, but it will be a Chinese Mercedes, well, this is my personal opinion.

Beautiful sound!

I was hesitating between the Neve 88RLB and the 1073LB but at the end I ended up with the 88RLB as I wanted a less coloured sound and dedicated DI. I must say, the unit is dead quite powered with Heritage Audio OST-4 V2, beautiful match! I was a bit concerned people got complains about the flimsy buttons but this is not an issue for me, yeah they're not the best but are fine, can't really complain. Quality preamp, recommended!

Upgraded from the warm audio wa73eq. My first taste of 500 series gear and I would 100% recommend this beast of a preamp, it's just so versatile.

I'm planning on getting another to fill the second slot of my fredenstein bento2 unit.

Ich hab mir den Neve Preamp hauptsächlich für Gesangsaufnahmen zugelegt. Als Mikro kommt ein Mojave M-200 zum Einsatz. Ich hatte bisher direkt über die Preamps meines Fireface UC aufgenommen und hatte nicht erwartet, das ich dermaßen überrascht werden würde. Der Unterschied ist signifikant. Die Höhen lösen extrem fein auf, ohne harsch zu werden und die Mitten sind gut da, ohne muddy zu sein. Kein Wunder, der Preamp kostet mehr als das Interface. Das gesamte Klangspektrum bildet sich wesentlich runder und organischer ab. Bisher habe ich immer mit dem EQ nachbearbeiten müssen, aber das ist nicht mehr nötig. Insofern hat mir die Investition schon einiges mühseliger Nachbearbeitung erspart.

Die Verabeitung ist top, wie man das bei der Preisklasse erwarten kann.
