NS Design NXT5a-CO-SB Low F Cello

I’ve been playing the NS Design NXT5a-CO-SB Low F Cello for a while, and I’m really impressed with it. The build quality is excellent – solid maple with a sleek sunburst finish – and it feels surprisingly light compared to a traditional cello. The five-string setup with the low F adds a whole new dimension to the range, which is great for both classical and modern styles.
The sound is very natural for an electric cello, especially through the Polar pickup system. It handles both bowing and pizzicato really well, and with a bit of reverb or chorus it can sound absolutely beautiful. I also love the rechargeable capacitor system – quick to charge and no need to worry about batteries.Playing comfort is good, though it takes a little adjustment since it doesn’t have the body contact points of an acoustic cello. The tripod stand makes it versatile for sitting or standing, which I’ve found useful for live performances.Overall, it’s a fantastic instrument: portable, reliable, and versatile. For anyone looking for an electric cello that still feels and sounds close to the real thing, I’d definitely recommend it.
