Not that great...

Even though the materials used are very good. There are issues with that bag and a mixpre-3 (mixpre-6 would be the same I guess).
First the bag is really too deep for the MixPre. It's simply not the right size. The mixer slips down too far. The side flaps, when opened, cannot be fixed to anything, and just "float around" like big dog ears.
But the worst is the metallic zippers. When walking around they make a constant "cling-cling" sound that can ruin takes. Seeing the reputation of Orca Bags this was a real shocker. But this is a honest review.

I use it with my MixPre 3 in different variations of powering. Although the MixPre 3 kind of hangs inside if using the power bank, with the Li-ion batteries mount (with 2 pretty large batteries from both sides) it fits good in and works pretty well. Managed to fit also a Raspberry Pi with another powerbank, so that I have an independent system for sound processing. However, I took away one star, because with long time walking and carrying it around (with large powerbank or 2 batteries) the shoulder gets tired pretty soon, so I had to buy an extra softening silicon pad. (that's why one star less for the comfort). Also to mention, the plastic connection between the zippers could be stronger, mine broke unfortunately very fast. To sum up, very happy with my choice.

The only thing to point out is the noisy zipper pull used, but after replacing them, it does its job pretty well. I use it with my Sound Devices MixPre 6 II.

The Orca OR-270 is a great bag for my Sound Devices MixPre-6 II! It even fits 2x SupraCell Sony NP-F970 batteries, which I was unsure about—I was afraid they wouldn’t fit, but they do perfectly!

I think that when some previous reviews mentioned too much empty space in the bag, the solution is to secure the MixPre-6 II with the included straps. The best way to do this probably requires some experimentation.

There is enough space, and the side pockets can be easily opened during recording when cables are connected. Overall, I’m happy with this bag!
