Great amp sim
As an owner of two tube amps, I was looking for something suitable for quick practice sessions (for those times when you just need to play for a few minutes). I wanted to preserve my tubes, as short cycles of use would inevitably lead to premature wear. After extensive research (the product is somewhat under the radar), I came across this pedal and decided it might work for casual playing. I’ve owned it for over a month now, so this review isn't an impulse reaction, but the result of many hours of play.
This amp simulator performs brilliantly and has honestly exceeded my expectations—especially as a "tube purist" who usually isn't impressed by digital gear. It is very responsive to articulation and dynamics. I’d say it captures about 90% (maybe more?) of a real tube amp's feel. Considering the price and the lack of maintenance costs (no tubes to replace), it’s a top-tier solution. For those craving more distortion, I run a Boss SD-1 in front of it as a boost, though it offers plenty of gain on its own.
If I could go back in time, I wouldn't have bought the tube amps at all—I’d just go with this pedal and a power amp. Highly recommended!
