Ortega Acoustic Bass Case OABCSTD

This case was a nice surprise. It's well built -although an additional clasp along the neck to keep it more secure when closed wouldn't go amiss. I couldn't find much else for my Sigma BRC-28E Acoustic Bass Guitar so took a chance. The case is a little bit too big around the body for my bass but for travelling in a car / public transport, I would feel confident my bass would arrive unscathed.

Solid case and very good fit for my very large acoustic bass, El Capitan J-200. A little longer by about a few inches, so it's a large case, but that's necessary for a large bass. The body and neck of my bass is hugged snuggly by the generously fluffy faux fur interior. Just a few inches of space above the tuning head. No rattling about or movement at all. Seems made to measure actually.

Outside is a matt/ soft satin finish. Not certain if it would absorb a bit of heavy rain into the finish, but great for getting in and out of practice sessions and can always be waxed if needed. Case is solid, likely wouldn't put anything heavy on it, but then who would risk that to a beautiful instrument??! Looks very smart and premium. Absolutely perfect for protection in a car or van with other kit, will take medium knocks, just don't use it as a stepladder!
