Paetzold by Kunath Master Basset Bass Recorder

My conventional F bass caused too much pressure on my right thumb joint and it was becoming painful. I saw the Paetzold F Bass in action on courses and was impressed by the ease of holding and playing it as well as the sound it produced. I already play a Paetzold Contrabass so the design was familiar to me. An expensive instrument, but I decided the outlay was worthwhile as it would enable me to continue playing the F bass, which I love, very comfortably into the future. Thomann offered the best price, though I would have to wait 6 months. It was available a bit earlier than expected and Thomann's excellent delivery system allowed me to track it all the way from Germany to England. It didn't need to be played in and I have enjoyed every use of it so far. I would recommend it to anyone whose finger joints are distorting since there is no pressure from a thumb rest, keys are easy to reach and the instrument stands on your chair seat between your legs, so no weight involved. A neat looking instrument producing a very good sound compatible with other F basses. Excellent value for money. So glad I bought it!
