I bought the stereo DI to connect the drums mixer output to the Focusrite 18i20 for an IEM system for my band's rehearsal. We connect drums' mics to the mixer with 8 mic preamps, mix on the device, and send stereo output to the Focusrite for IEMs and recording ideas. It turned out that connecting the mixer even with TRS cables introduces noise. The only way was to connect the mixer via DI. Works like a charm, and I recommend the Palmer for such a job.
