This one is called universal due to vast amount of sounds you can produce. It is a great pleasure just to sit with it and looking for new ways of playing. I strongly recommend a special kind of mallet as it needs to be heavy to initiate and play with instrument resonances.

While you are able to purchase many singing bowls from various sources, the Peter Hess ones have this sublime and full sound. This particular one depending on the way of rubbing mallet around the bowl, can produce three different, but beautifully sinusoidal types of sounds. So far, besides sound therapy, I've been using bowls in cinematic and gaming audio arrangements.
