Efficient design

Purchased for an old and heavy 3 valve silver plated Bb La Fleur the case is very well designed to hold the bell and body in the minimum space but with good protection. Materials and construction very good. Just as well as I paid more for the case than the instrument. Makes transport easy and safe.

Great Bag

Lots of great things about the bag, easy and quick to pack the sousaphone away. Pretty well padded yet easy to carry. Good sized pocket for stuff with useful zipped bits. Good handle placement for portability.

Slightly less good stuff - pocket is kind of "upside down" in relation to its shape thus, stuff falls out if left unfastened.
Straps are very long and low on the case, I rectified this easily by shortening them with cable ties though.

Decent but flawed

This case was okay, but not great. The straps on the back are too long, which makes it difficult to wear comfortably.

I've had mine for little over 2 years and it has fallen apart. I gig regularly, but I still would have hoped it would last a bit longer.

In short, not great, not terrible.

Ausschlaggebend für den Kauf war die Möglichkeit, das Gigbag auf dem Rücken tragen zu können.
Leider sind die Trageriemen nur auf 2-Meter Musiker und größer einstellbar. läßt sich schlecht schultern, da das Instrument in den Kniekehlen hängt.
Erste Maßnahme: Trageriemen selbst gekürzt und festgenäht. Als nächstes muß auch der Gurt an der Metalllasche noch fixiert werden, da dieser sich in kürzester Zeit unter dem Gewicht "eingedreht" hat.

Das Polster ist für nicht allzu ruppige Touren ausreichend, könnte allerdings etwas dicker am Rand sein.

Erfahrung nach 8 Jahren Einsatz: der Stoff ist noch sehr gut in Schuss, die Kunststoffecken der Tragegurte beginnen langsam nachzugeben, werden aber zusätzlich zu den Nähten durch eine Niete gesichert, das hält!
Einzig die Naht an der Endlosspirale vom Reißverschluss hat sich an 3 Stellen jeweils über 5-7 cm verabschiedet. Ein Kompletttausch des Reissverschlusses wäre zu kostspielig. Der Schuster meines Vertrauens hat die Spirale wieder festgenäht bekommen.
Die neuen Produktbilder aus 2023 zeigen eine Variante der Schultergurtverstellung. Bin gespannt, ob nun auch kleinere Personen das Bag höher als bis zu den Oberschenkeln bekommen…
