Ideal keyboard for me playing covers/tributes from various different genres.

Regardless of whatever sound you're looking for, you'll find an exact copy or close (with a bit of tinkering).
If you're looking for new cutting edge sounds, the Fantom 0 series is not for you - if you play live, it's ideal (for me as a second 'up-top' keyboard with weighted keys below.)

Very light to transport , keybed is OK but not great. Main sound complaint from most people is pianos - to be honest, if you use a bit of common sense and EQ, they're fine.
I had a Nord Stage 3 compact which had wonderful pianos (with headphones on) but by the time they're put through my Yamaha mixer the into the main desk and out through a Mackie PA they just sound like pianos.
For the difference in price is was a no- Braintree to sell the NS3 and get this plus another keyboard.
Anyway, a great workhorse for live playing. The multi options to split and layer are fantastic and some of the pad functions ive found really useful.

I don't use the sequencer so can't really comment. I've started using the sampler (as an oldie , I've never used one before) but it's going to be really useful

This is a great lightweight keyboard that comes with tons of tones, a few sample pads, and styles. Roland uses a concept called SCENE, and in the Zone Editor, you can combine up to 16 tones, layering them together and assigning them to different key sections based on your needs. The sound is truly amazing!

I also want to highlight Thomann’s excellent support. I contacted their support team via chat before purchasing, and I received answers from different departments within the same conversation. I specifically chose Thomann because of their outstanding customer service and their extended support even after the 3 year warranty period they continue to cover manufacturing defects.

Shipping to Ireland was very fast, taking only 5-6 days. The keyboard arrived in its original, highly durable packaging, ensuring no damage during transit.

This is a fantastic Japanese product, and I highly recommend it!

First of all, it’s a great product. I simply love what I am able to do with it, specially LFOs, synth sounds and sequencing. In this matter it just delivers what it promises.
Easy to use, tons of sounds and dozens of cool capabilities. Some of them far beyond my level.
On the down side, the piano sounds, although good, weren’t as good as I expected. It’s kind of a matter of preference, of course, but for me they just sound a little artificial. I have an old Yamaha p-125, for example, and for me it just sounds better, even though it’s a way much cheaper instrument.
I also had some issues with the unit I received. It bricked during a backup/restore operation in the very first hour with it so you can imagine the frustration. But after email exchange with Roland and the amazing support from Thomann, my unit was replaced and the new one is working perfectly as intended. Thanks, Thomann for the great support here!
In general I would recommend the keyboard, specially for its synth capabilities. It works great if you have a good piano to pair up with it.

Kurz und knackig meine Vor- und Nachteile:
Positives:
-Im vgl. zu den alten Fantoms ein super schneller Workflow
-Mit den Expansionen klanglich gut, aber nicht sehr gut. Als Referenz sehe ich hier die Modelle von Nord im Vergleich
-Super leicht
-hochauflösendes Display
-Bekannte Roland Brot und Butter Sounds

Negativ/Dinge die man vor dem Kauf wissen sollte:
-Die Expansionen werden im Sample Speicher gespeichert (mit den 3 vorinstallierten Expansionen sind nur noch etwa 100Mb frei)
-Die eingebauten Sounds sind zu 95% altbekannte. Teilweise bereits 15 Jahre alt und älter. Also nichts besonderes fürs Studio, Live aber durchaus brauchbar.
-Die Tone Wheel Organ bricht trotz Scene Remain beim Scenenwechsel ab
-Die Zugriegel bzw. Leslie Geschwindigkeit werden im Tone gespeichert und nicht in der Scene
- Der Fantom 0 bietet nur 8 Slider für 9 Zugriegel (eine andere Zuweisung ist nicht möglich)
-Die Supernatural Pianos sind keine echten Supernatural, da für diesen Fantom die String Resonanz nicht aktiviert ist/werden kann
-Der Sampler kann kein X-Fade für Loops was ihn für etwaige geloopte Sounds unbrauchbar macht
-Die Scene speichert zwar die Funktion der Pads, aber im Falle von SamplePads wird die Bank nicht gespeichert
-in der Soundkategorie Choir sind 3-5 Sounds die Fehlerhaft programmiert sind. Im Tone Menü ist ersichtlich dass VA Wellenformen hinterlegt sind und diese klingen tatsächlich auch nicht annähernd nach Choir. Vllt schafft hier ein Firmware Update Abhilfe.
-Nutzt man einen SuperNatural Acoustic Piano Sound kommt man richtig schnell an die Grenze der Polyfonie. Bereits mit zwei weiteren Layern (z.B. E-Piano und Pad) kann man nur noch 3-4 Klänge spielen dass die Übergänge nicht abgehakt klingen. Das ist vermutlich auch der Grund warum die String Resonanz in diesem Gerät nicht inkludiert ist.

Alles in allem Behalte ich die Maschine trotzdem. Für mich ist es eine wirklich schnell zu programmierende „Presetschleuder“ mit der ich super meinen Synth ansteuern kann. Für eine Rockband bestens geeignet.
Im Gegenzug für eine Akustik Band oder fürs Studio aufgrund der genannten Punkte eher nicht geeignet.
