I spent a long time looking around at cases I could afford. My previous case was very tight for bow storage and ultimately I chose this Rubato model because it was roomy for bow storage and seemed to give good protection for the violin. I also liked the rarer colour as most cases are quite dark. The quality exceeded my expectations. The outer material has a soft feel, less "plasticy" than I expected. The handle is also soft to the touch and comfortable to hold. The padding is good and the accessories box holds shoulder rest, mute, tuner and little bottle of cleaning liquid easily. There is a separate rosin box which is also appreciated! Straps are included to wear the case as a backpack.
Previously I had been looking at hard shell cases at twice the price. I'm so glad I chose the Rubato because I actually feel like it has given me much more storage than the "violin-shaped" hard shell cases I had considered.
Minus one star purely because the lock on the front clasp feels fine, but not super-strong. This isn't an issue for me but it may be for you.

nicht schlecht - aber nicht zu viel erwarten!

Diese Kästen von R&J sind schon nicht schlecht gemacht. Aber einen richtig tollen Kasten darf man nun auch nicht erwarten.
Gut finde ich die Ausstattung, die Aufteilung, die Farbe und die 4 magnetischen Verschluss-Knöpfe der Hülle.

Die Kritikpunkte, warum ich den Kasten zurückschicke und mich nach etwas soliderem Umschaue:
- Hülle fühlt sich künstlich an
- eine der Metall-Halbkugeln / Füßchen ist von selbst abgefallen
- Verschlussbügel fühlt sich fummelig an
- im Inneren sind einige Stoffkanten schief abgeschnitten
- das Hygrometer ist seeehr träge
- in die Notentasche in der Hülle passt das typische Notenformat; aber es passen nicht viele Hefte hinein und sie werden dabei leicht gebogen
- die Deckel der inneren Taschen passen nicht genau in ihre Form; man muss mit dem Finger nachdrücken
- die Decke ist schief geschneidert und damit an einer Seite zu breit, so dass sie beim Zumachen super akkurat liegen muss, damit sie nicht im Deckel eingeklemmt wird.
- schön wäre es, wenn der Deckel mehr als 90° öffnen würde

Zur Sicherheit kann ich nichts sagen, weil man das eh nur im Ernstfall erfährt.

Der Kasten ist mit allen Riemen 2,85 kg schwer.

Entweder man kauft ein ganz schlichtes Modell oder man setzt mit der Qualität oben ran. Dieser Versuch eines Kompromisses aus den beiden Polen hat mir jedenfalls nicht gefallen.
