Sela Melody Handpan D Kurd SE220

I can't deny it's a quality handpan which impressed me in the beginning, i checked the tuning and all perfect, but as i played it over i noticed the high notes produce a slapping-like (like tak sound) sound when i strike with my finger, i tried adjusting my striking techniques/angles/lightness but it didn't help much, i reached out to a more professional handpan player and he said this is because of the handpan material it was built of, i really liked it but unfortunalty i failed to produce clean sound out high notes on this handpan no matter how i tried.
