Sennheiser HD-490 PRO

Używam HD-490 PRO od roku głównie do miksu i masteringu w domowym studio. Słuchawki zrobiły na mnie tak dobre wrażenie, że zamówiłem drugie dla mojej mamy, która chce słuchać muzyki w wolnych chwilach. Są lekkie, wygodne i dobrze leżą nawet przy dłuższych sesjach. Pałąk nie uciska głowy, a obie pary padów są miękkie i oddychające, co zdecydowanie wpływa na komfort.

Pod względem dźwięku HD-490 PRO prezentują się świetnie – scena dźwiękowa jest szeroka, separacja instrumentów bardzo wyraźna. Słuchawki brzmią naturalnie, z lekkim naciskiem na średnie tony, co świetnie sprawdza się w miksie wokalu. Bas jest obecny, ale nie przesadzony – raczej szybki i precyzyjny niż „filmowy”. Góra jest detaliczna, ale nie ostra – można słuchać długo bez zmęczenia.

Jedyne drobne zastrzeżenie mam do wykończenia – choć konstrukcja jest lekka, plastiki nie sprawiają wrażenia tak solidnych jak w niektórych modelach konkurencji w tej półce cenowej. Nie wpływa to jednak na użytkowanie, bardziej na wrażenie wizualne.

Podsumowując – świetny wybór dla osób pracujących z dźwiękiem, które cenią sobie precyzję i komfort, oraz niedzielnych słuchaczy. Sennheiser dostarcza tu dokładnie to, czego można by się spodziewać po tej marce. Polecam!

Nothing will replace a pair of good near-field monitors and an acoustically treated room, but this is the next best thing in a reasonable price category. I really like them, very comfortable during long mixing sessions at night, and once I got to know their sound "signature" my mixes translate fairly well to a wide range of speakers, requiring only some tweaking. I take away 1 star for the finish quality which is not top notch, mostly plastic that doesn't feel very premium, but I guess Sennheiser used the available budget where it counts the most - on audio properties, and I'm glad they did.

THE MOST COMFORTABLE pair of headphones ever. Great that you can swap and clean the pads (however I prefered "producer" pads even for mixing, both in comfort and sound). Sound is great: realistic reproduction of stereo image, they're not hyped in bass, nor highs. Mids are really good. I had pleasure listening to music and the references were good guides for mixing and mastering. I didn;t keep them all in all: took Audeze MM100 - they're little cheaper and the sound was more appealing to me in therms of realism. However if I were to mix on them I'd be totally satisfied. They seem a little too shacky and thin... I think they could break easily.

Very rarely do I review anything and even less so after only 1 day of use. I have to say this headphone is perfect for me. I already like the Neumann speaker sound. With the mixing earpads, it's very close to my pair of KH 150 speakers. I came over from using primarily Beyerdynamic headphones for several years. I can say that the Sennheiser/Neumann sound is something I prefer greatly. If you like that sound signature as well, it's worth looking into.

Comfort is also another thing worth noting. I wear glasses and these are the most comfortable headphones I've tried. Very little clamping force yet it doesn't feel like it will fall off.

Only downside I can find is that the build feels a bit flimsy, so you really got to care for it.
