PickupA PAF 59 - humbucker in single coil format. For many, the PAF (and all good copies) is still the pickup number 1. Balanced frequency spectrum, enough output for sustained sounds - but not a "screamer".

The Little 59 is the perfect solution for anyone who has inhibitions about taking apart their strat to install a big humbucker: Classic humbucker sound (a Strat will of course never be a single cut, but it doesn't to be; see Eddie Van Halen), but still the perfect design (and this includes the arrangement of the pickups) from the good old Leo Fender.

Great sound

The pickup boasts a very high perceived quality (as usual for Seymour Duncan), an easy installation and a terribly good tone. It considerably widens the possibilities of any ST-style guitar, giving a clear, not exaggeratedly punchy vintage-style sound.

Great sound less noise!

Superb little pickup, fitted very easily and has boosted the sound range and quality of my Strat to a different level! Wished I'd have tried it sooner.

Nach einer konsequenten Vervollständigung

der N- und M-Position (bestückt jeweils mit dem SL59-1N) und nunmehr der Bridge-Position mit dem SL59-1B sind auch die Übergänge aller Schalterpositionen (M, MB, B) ausgewogen und stimmig.
Der SL59-1B ist hierbei sehr durchsetzungsfähig in seinem Klangvolumen und passt nach meiner Auffassung richtig gut zu dem SL59-1N auf der Mittenposition.
Selbst wenn man die Knopfler-Pos. (MB) zu B verlässt, ist er für den leicht angechrunchten Blues sehr eigenständig, wobei er auch hier mit einer angenehmen Wärme im Sound überzeugt. Für mich ist dieser SL59-1B eine konsequente Weiterverfolgung für meine Strat., einen Sound auf allen Schalterpositionen mit etwas mehr Wärme zu produzieren, wobei ich diesen Sound zwischen einem Single-Coil und einem Humbucker einordne.
