Mount isn't bad for its price. If microphone isn't very long/heavy it does the job. Using longer shotgun microphones with deadcat might be problematic due to fur weight (rubber bands are not "strong" enough to keep weight). If you want to use it on boom pole you might need to use some kind of spacer between pole thread and mount itself, otherwise thread might touch microphone.
