I wanted to purchase a budget vocal booth for doing Voiceover work and was debating between the one of the 2 T.akustik options. One of them was all foam, the other was made of PET panels. After doing a lot of research, I realized that PET panels were much more effective to dampen reflections and sound vs foam. My only problem was that the T.Akustik PET vocal booth was too big for my space. My solution was to purchase 3 of these folding panels to surround my mic and create my own modular booth. I have an Isovox Go where my NT-1 resides, then these surround that with moving blankets on the ground to absorb floor reflections. I could lay another one of these over the top to catch ceiling reflections but that isn't a problem I'm having right now. All in all, it works amazingly. It's no soundproof WhisperRoom but it definitely muffles outside sound and totally creates that reflection dead zone for crisp, clean vocals. I can't imagine it getting much better outside of spending thousands more euro.
