Takamine GN71CE-NAT

I have always loved the look of this guitar and Thomann had it for sale at the lowest price anywhere I could find. The guitar is simply beautiful with a 2 piece solid spruce top (which has plenty of grain and character), stunning black walnut back and sides and a laurel bridge and finger board, which are lighter in colour than ebony or rosewood. The body has a lovely maple binding front and back as well as along the fingerboard and around the headstock. The neck is made of mahogany and the whole guitar is finished beautifully in a high gloss finish.
The sounds from the GN71 are acoustically good, without being outstanding, (I don't like the D'addario strings - but this is a personal preference). However where this guitar comes alive is when played live, as the TK-40 pre-amp is awesome, giving great control over the amplified sound through the 3 band eq and the mid boost. Additionally the notch filter is brilliant for dialling in or out frequencies for your personal preference. The guitar as supplied was of excellent quality and whilst the action was slightly high for my preference, I couldn't mark the guitar down for that. I'm very pleased with my purchase and thanks Thomann for a very easy transaction.

A beautifully made and classy guitar. Excellent neck, frets smooth and easy on the fingers. Used mainly to back traditional Irish music gigs, mainly not amplified, and more than capable of being heard through loud accordions, fiddles, banjos. A dream guitar when amplified, superb puck up. Great tone adjustment on the Eq built in, and the tuner is lovely to have. For the price, it is mildly astonishing!

Ich war extra im Musikhaus Thomann und habe mich durch viele Gitarren durchprobiert (Besuch *sehr* empfehlenswert!), hängen geblieben bin ich dann bei dieser hier und ich könnte nicht glücklicher sein.
Die Gitarre sieht richtig toll aus, ist sehr hochwertig verarbeitet und obwohl ich normalerweise Goldglanz nicht so schön finde, sind die goldenen Mechaniken ein absoluter Hingucker, dazu dann noch die Wirbel aus Bernstein, einfach fantastisch.
Der Klang ist sehr voll, schön warm, die Höhen können sich aber trotzdem sehr gut durchsetzen. Die Saiten klingen auch bei sehr sanftem Anschlag sehr lang und klar.
Die größte Überraschung für mich war, dass mir der Klang der Tonabnehmer gefällt, da ich bisher ausschließlich negative Erfahrungen mit Piezo-Tonabnehmern gemacht hatte, wenn man den Klang mit einem verbauten Mikrofon vergleicht, also Hut ab, I love it!
Das einzige negative war, dass die Tonabnehmer und/oder das Verbindungskabel zwischen Pre-Amp und Klinkebuchse scheinbar nicht richtig eingesteckt waren. Das hatte zur Folge, dass nur zwei von sechs Saiten und sehr starkes Grundrauschen + Brummen zu hören waren und das Stimmgerät nur selten ein Signal bekommen hat. Erst dachte ich, ich müsste die Gitarre einschicken, habe mich aber glücklicherweise entschieden doch mal den Pre-Amp auszubauen, alle Kabel aus- und wieder einzustecken und sicher zu gehen dass sie so sitzen wie sie sollen, außerdem waren die Kabel etwas zu kurz fixiert worden, sodass der Pre-Amp sich nicht komplett herausziehen ließ ohne die Kabel vorher zu lösen, aber auch das ließ sich beheben.
Das hat das Problem zum Glück gelöst und es gibt nichts mehr auszusetzen.
Ich bin extrem zufrieden mit meinem Kauf.
