Pricey but the best kick pad I've used

Let's get the obvious negatives out of the way:
- it's not cheap
- it's not that small
- therefore, it's not very portable
and that's it.

If you (like me) don't care about portability and you have a proper spot to put it in, then there's only the price to consider.
The two legs that make it bulky are also what makes this the most stable kick pad I've used.
The impact surface is made of a mesh fabric in front of a rubber dome. The mesh will definitely erode over time but is easily replaceable (to maximize lifespan just don't use felt beaters and angle them properly to avoid unnecessary friction). The size is plenty for double pedal and the rubber dome feels really good to play, definitely the most realistic I've felt. It's not just a slab of hard rubber, there's air behind which gives it a softer feel with less rebound. The fact that it's not a flat surface is a little odd at first, especially for double pedals, but angling the beaters a little bit is all you need.

In short, I'm very happy with this purchase. After trying many many cheaper options and never having been satisfied, this finally ended my search.

DAS Practice Pad für Kick Drums!

Ich wollte für zu Hause ein Kickpad haben, was leise ist, sich halbwegs realistisch anfühlt und vor allem: Da stehen bleibt wo es stehen soll! Bislang hatte ich das Kickpad vom Alesis DM10 genutzt und es sogar noch modifiziert, damit es leise wird. Beispielbarkeit war kein Problem, aber: Mit verankerter DoFuMa (Tama Iron Cobra) wandert das Kickpad irgendwann nach hinten. Unterlage ist bei mir Teppichboden, den ich nicht mit ausgefahrenen Spikes verschandeln wollte. Irgendwie habe ich Behelfslösungen mit Waschmaschinenmatten gebaut, aber es war alles nicht wirklich dauerfest.

Bis ich das Tama True Touch Solid Kick Bass Pad entdeckte: Die Konstruktion hat mich sofort überzeugt. Bestellt, aufgebaut, gespielt und... Es bleibt da stehen wo es stehen soll! Nichts wackelt, durch den Verstellmechanismus kann man das Pad so arretieren, dass die Bodenplatte des angedockten Pedals auch nicht "abhebt". Auch beim Doublebass Spiel bleibt alles an Ort und Stelle, zudem fühlt es sich zumindest für mich sehr realistisch vom Spielgefühl her an.

Verbessern würde ich eigentlich nichts. Einzig eine Option, das Pad horizontal nach vorn oder hinten zu verschieben, ohne die "Standachse" des Pads nach vorn oder hinten kippen zu müssen, wäre ein Feature für die Zukunft. Der Preis ist natürlich auch nicht ganz ohne, aber nach Jahren mit wackelndem Alesis-Pad zu Hause ist mir das Tama Pad nun wirklich jeden Euro wert ;-)

Je cherche depuis quelques mois un pad grosse pour pouvoir travailler dans mon logement étudiant, et ayant rencontré un ami batteur possédant le modèle j’ai pu tester et je dois dire que je suis bluffé! Le ressenti est très proche d’une vrai grosse caisse, le bruit n’est pas trop fort (parfait pour jouer dans la soirée) et la stabilité époustouflante (je travaille beaucoup ma double donc je tappe fort et vite) en bref un pad complet mais il faut y mettre le prix

Endlich das Richtige gefunden

Ich habe Jahre lang zuhause mit einem Yamaha kd irgendwas gespielt. Erst mit Iron Cobra später mit Speed Cobra Doppelpedalen. War auch alles cool, bis ich mir letztes Jahr im Oktober die Czarcie Kopyto Pedale gegönnt habe 😎 by the way, die geilste und beste Investition seit langem 🙂 aber zurück zum Thema…. Das Problem waren die Schlägel der CK Pedale, die weiter von einander entfernt sind als bei „herkömmlichen“ Pedalen. Dadurch war das Yamaha Pad unbrauchbar geworden. So begann die Reise … habe viel probiert aber immer war irgendwas nicht so wie es sein sollte… nicht verstellbar, zu wackelig, nicht groß genug usw… bis ich mich entschlossen habe die Tama True touch zu bestellen. Hat was gedauert, weil nicht ganz billig… aber ich muss sagen, diese Investition war es auch wert 🙂 sehr stabil, recht schwer (was zur Stabilität beiträgt), Spielgefühl ist auch super und recht leise. Die Größe der Schlagfläche ist ausreichend. Auch für die CK Pedale. Meine Suche ist damit beendet 😎 Danke fürs lesen! Hoffe die Infos helfen euch bei der Entscheidungsfindung! 🤘
