Excelent sound canceling
I use it mainly for tracking drums. Excelent sound canceling capabileties. Soundwise not so great, but very usefull when sound separation is crucial.

Not good not bad. little shallow buckets, hurting my ear-piercing if not placed perfectly. As for sound isolation these are good, so you can play very loudly without harming your sound perception. Ability to run play-along or metronome works perfectly, they are very load which doesnt require amplifier - you can use with mobile phone easily.
As for playing jazz, I would rather keep using my open headphones to have better articulation
