This is one of those small, inexpensive, bits of kit that you don't think you'll need - until you try it out. Raising the Focusrite off the ground and tilting it at an expressive angle, seems superfluous, but it allows you to view and change your levels far more easily, especially if you're already doing physical gymnastics with a heavy, cumbersome guitar on your lap and trying to simultaneously watch a monitor. It snaps together in seconds and holds the interface securely and perfectly. Buy one. You won't regret it. It was very well packaged too.
