Good Tam Tam.

This gong is a little small to get a descent sound out of as compared to Thomann wind gongs or of course Paiste gongs (which are a lot more expensive). The finish is nice, but the sound requires a lot of 'getting to know the instrument' and its sweet spots. It lacks definition in tone/ fundamental. I use it for sound therapy teaching, and usually students struggle with this a little, trying to get a good sound, but since I've used it a bit I'm getting to know it. Gongs improve with age, and we'll see how this one goes!

Another Gem

Yet another Gem to add to my ever increasing Gongs and other equipment from Thomann. The Tam Tam Gong compliments the Wind and Sun gongs already purchased from Thomann. My Sound group sessions ( Soundbath) now has another element to it with the introduction of the Tam Tam taking the tones to another level. First impression was that it was smaller than the others but once played along with the others I shouldn't have worried plus the fact that it can be hand held worked perfectly with private sound sessions. First class service and delivery from Thomann.
