Fantastic jazz strings
Anonimowy 20.03.2016
JS 113 are fantastic jazz strings. I'm using them for semi-hollow and I'm amazed. They are very smooth. Personally I like that basses are not dominating over trebles. Tension of the string is not an issue as they are much softer than d'addario Chromes. In order to accommodate to string tension you should set the action of the guitar as low as possible.

Surely they are for serious jazz player as they produce beautiful round and acoustic like sound .JS113 will rather not perform in rock since it is challenging to do bends and basses are to mellow. .

Best for jazz
toQbat 20.06.2022
The absolute best accompaniment strings. Phenomenal to the touch, smooth, delicate and springy, they give an amazing feeling. It's worth trying at least once.

The best flatwounds I've tried
Andy737 02.08.2013
I used d'Aaddario Chromes for years, but recently switched to TI JS113's. I prefer the feel and the slightly lower tension. I've used them on full-body jazz guitars and semi's. They will only suit people who like heavy flatwounds (my brother calls them 'unplayable railway lines') but if you're into that sound, I've not found better (although I've not tried GHS). Note I also use a heavy pick (2mm). I'm not sure they'd sound too good with a light or even a medium attack. They're a tad more expensive than d'Addario's, but well worth it imho. I've had one set on a semi for 10 months, and they're still pretty bright, with no intonation or tuning problems, so I'd give them high marks for longevity and cost-effectiveness. If you're a heavy string-bender or hammer & pull stylist, they're going to be tough to play cleanly. But if you're into a rich mellow kind of sound, without the 'twang & buzz' of round-wounds, you're probably on flats already. These things are very personal, so don't take my word for it (or anyone else's). I'd say give them a try & see what you think.

Excellent value for the price and great tone
Palash 31.10.2019
These were replacing my D addario chromes, I wanted flatwounds with more treble character and clearer overtones, particularly for Jazz and Blues, but also some more versatile Rock/Metal setup.

These do Jazz and Blues really well if you want the flatwound tone.
Other genres can be managed depending on your setup.

The only improvement I may think of , is that the tension balance across strings is not balanced. But this depends on your tuning and your guitar setup, so this will vary person to person.
