Works well on small violins

We've used this shoulder rest on a 1/16th violin played by a four to five year old child. Unlike the popular rigid shoulder rests this one was rated the more comfortable by the player. Due to its asymmetrical shape (thicker towards the chest, thinner towards the neck) it is better than those shoulder rests that are mere circular pads. With this shoulder rest it was easy to correct the horizontal angle of the violin to encourage a healthier posture.

The shoulder rest is attached with included flat rubber bands, which have not damaged the varnish in two years of use. The foam is firm and still shows no signs of damage after two years.

I highly recommend this shoulder rest for children who find other shoulder supports too difficult to attach or too uncomfortable.
