My first DR strings and its tight

I never used DR strings before and i glad i did, i personally wanted this gauge because i need enough tension for Drop A and it does its job very very well. The fat string feels really solid and doesnt wobble at all depend on your scale of course (my guitar is 24.75 inch in length). Im loving this strings so far and i think so will you.....if you play Drop A or B tuning like i am.

Nice and heavy!

I bought these in the hope of getting rid of the sensation of the strings being really floppy in D drop C or C# and in that all my expectations was fulfilled. What a difference! It's a whole different sensation picking the strings now. The previous set of strings was the stock strings and I'm not sure the gauge of those but I expect they were fairly standard strings. These are really nice and heavy and I like them a lot.

Only drawback is that with these you really have to put in a lot more force into your hammer-ons and pull-offs. The first time I did a hammer-on I couldn't even hear it! So if you're used to playing with standard gauge strings you might have some re-learning to do when buying these strings. But if you're in the habit of playing with a down-tuned guitar I heartily recommend them. They seem to keep the tuning quite good for a new set of strings but I haven't had them long enough to see how they keep up in the long run. They seem to be quality strings though so I don't expect them to give me any grief in that department.

Be aware though that particularly string 5 and 6 are really thick and might a bit rough on your fingertips depending on how tough your calluses are. Long slides in particular is... ouch!

Excellent tuning stability, feeling more tension compared to other equal gauged strings, great for low tunings (currently using these in drop A on a 24.75 in scale length)

the only strings I use on my electric guitar. Originally they are for heavy de-tunning, but I use them for Eb tunning and they rock!! I like heavier strings like SRV did ;) but I play everything rock, metal, blues ;)
And they are the only heavy strings with plain G string, that I know of, for those bluesy bends :P
here is a little sound preview me playing Pink Floyd Comfortably Numb solo with these strings on a Gibson LP bought also at Thomann:

- heavy - they hold the tunning really well even with a heavy hand style
- plain G

CONS
-heavy I must put heavy as a cons to cause it is not easy to bend these bad boys :D
