Habe mir die DW als Alternative zu den doch sehr hochpreisigen Collector's zugelegt und war erst skeptisch, ob sich der Kauf lohnt. Ausgepackt und gestaunt, wie edel der kleine Bruder rüber kommt. Erstklassige Verarbeitung, sogar die gleichen triple flanged Hoops, wie bei den Collector's, allerdings ohne die True Hoops Gravur. Die kleineren Böckchen sind Geschmacksache. Die Ebony Lackierung ist sehr fein aufgetragen, in der Sonne schimmert die Trommel schwarz -violett, fast zu schade für den dunklen Proberaum. Der Kessel ist auch innen sehr akkurat gearbeitet. Keinerlei Mängel. Jetzt zum Entscheidenden, dem Klang: Einfach umwerfend!!! Schöner warmer Maplesound mit sehr viel Attack und feinen Obertönen. Ich finde sie im positiven Sinne laut und durchsetzungsstark. Sie spricht auch fein an, hat ja auch den gleichen Trutone Teppich, wie die großen Brüder. Ich habe die Felle gegen Evans UV1 als Schlagfell und Evans 300er Resofell ausgetauscht und bin sehr, sehr zufrieden. Ich glaube, dass die Trommel locker mit den großen Brüdern mithalten kann! Wer für relativ wenig Geld feine DW Qualität will, ist hier richtig! Klare Kaufempfehlung,
