Ich als Hobbymusiker hab mich beim ersten Anblick sofort in diese Gitarre verliebt.
Bei Thoman bestellt....Lieferung top!....Aber leider stellte sich nach kurzer Zeit heraus das der Halstonabnehmer nicht richtig funktionierte....meine Verbindung zum Amp waren i.o. (Kabel und Drahtlos auch die anderen Gitarren funktionieren) Der Dreiwegschalter hat einen Wackler und die Klinkebuchse sitzt auch nicht fest.
Schade in dieser Preisklasse. Mit günstigeren Gitarren ,auch von Epiphone, hatte ich da keine Probleme.
Leider ist halt mit umtauschen und zurückschicken so eine Sache (gerade bei einem Modell das nicht vorrätig ist) bestimmt hätte Thoman eine Lösung aber auf das leidige hin und her hab ich keine Lust . Vielleicht hab ich nur Pech gehabt, ist halt nur ernüchternd wen man sich auf was freut und es funktioniert nicht wie erwartet.

Beste Les Paul für den Preis!

Ich bin durch ein Youtube-Video, was eigentlich für das Multieffekt-Gerät Valvetone GP50 (übrigens auch sehr zu empfehlen!) gedacht war auf die Widow aufmerksam geworden. Wow ! Was für tolle Lackierungen, aber vor allen Dingen: Was für ein Sound ! Als die Widows dann überraschenderweise sofort lieferbar waren, habe ich mir eine Orange Burst bestellt und wurde nicht enttäuscht:
Super Look mit der gemaserten Decke und dem "Orange Mahagony" auf der Rückseite ! Das einzige, was ich nach eingängiger Durchsicht festgestellt habe, war, dass auf dem Grifbrett einige Stellen zu erkennen waren, die wohl von der Fertigungsmaschine stammen, nehme ich an. Die werde ich aber ölen und wegpolieren, von daher keine große Sache. Sogar die Werkssaiten (Gibson) waren Top!
Nach kurzer Intonation der Brücke (5 Minuten), was easy war, konnte ich die Widow gar nicht mehr aus der Hand legen! Super Bespielbarkeit, klasse Sound der Humbucker (den Hals-Humbucker habe ich für meinen Geschmack noch 2-3 Umdrehungen höher geschraubt - Mega!) und Sustain ohne Ende !

Alles in allem ist das die beste Les Paul, die ich jemals hatte! Und da waren auch Gibson Les Pauls dabei.
Von daher: 5 Sterne! Well done, Epiphone!

You get what you see

I bought this guitar for the look only. And god wasn’t I disapointed. The look is simply awesome. However, you’ll have to keep in mind that this is more or less the only thing you’ll get. I was already planning on putting bare knuckles and indeed. After playing it a bit, the stock pickups are pretty flat. Frets are as scratchy as it can possibly be. I have 3 epiphone custom and it’s the worst one. The ebony fretboard looks like he went threw WWII. But anyway. In the end I was also planning on putting stainless steel frets after a while. So I wasn’t expecting much, but still… the frets however are pretty well cut on the edges, this is the best one regarding that. The switch seem more robust than the other epiphone I have. Honestly, If like me you’re considering modding it go for it. The look is worth the investment I guess. But if you want a better guitar out of the box while saving 50 bucks. Just take the jerry cantrell. The finition is way better and the pickups are on a whole other level for the price point.
