Warte uwagi

Bardzo dobre wykonanie, elementy z tworzywa ułatwiają utrzymanie w czystości. Brak gumek w koszyczku eliminuje przymus wymiany oraz tworzywo jest dużo bardziej wytrzymale niż gumki

Shock mount with good quality
Home Recorder 18.11.2018
I have purchased Rode SMR, since I accidentally broke the plastic link on the bottom of my Rode nt USB by dropping them :( The reason I chose this product over other shock mounts is that this shock mount comes with a metal pop filter. Rode nt USB has a metal pop filter as it's component, which does its job perfectly and looks cool. Also, it is washable, meaning that you don't really need to spend on purchasing new pop filters because of the smell or unsanitary condition. Thus, I thought that this product would be reliable.

I have been using it for about two months. So far, I am quite satisfied with this shock mount and the pop filter it comes with. The shock mount does its job perfectly. The quality of the elastic bands is excellent. The pop filter included in the bundle is double layers, unlike the one comes with Rode nt USB. Comparing those two, the pop filter with Rode SMR definitely functions better with its double layered design.

Pros:
-You can have a shock mount and a metal pop filter as well, that has good, high-end quality.
-Comparatively light, also attachable to a relatively cheap mic stand.

Cons:
-If you use it on Rode nt-USB, the monitoring volume nob is half hidden, but it is still adjustable.

Expensive? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely.
Albert Mihaiteanu 18.08.2026
I bought my NT1 without a shock mount and initially thought I could save some money by buying a compatible alternative from another manufacturer. I won't name the brand, but the quality of that particular copy was so poor that I didn't even bother mounting the microphone on the stand. I packed it back up, returned it and decided to buy the real deal.
The difference is night and day.
The Rode SMR is exactly what I wanted in the first place. It is beautifully made, feels solid and precise, holds the microphone exactly as it should, and looks fantastic with the NT1. The included pop filter is also excellent quality and integrates perfectly with the whole system rather than feeling like an afterthought.
Yes, this is an expensive shock mount. There is no point pretending otherwise. You can buy microphones for what this thing costs. But after trying the cheaper route first, I don't regret the purchase at all.
For a microphone that I intend to use for years, I would rather have a shock mount that I trust, that works properly and that feels like it belongs with the microphone.
So yes, I paid for a shock mount what some people pay for an entire microphone – and I take full responsibility for that decision.
No regrets. Sometimes buying the real deal really is the cheaper option in the end.

Do yourself a favor and buy this. I've had this microphone for a year and a half and I'm just telling you once and for all-

BUT THIS IF YOU HAVE A RODE NT1-A mic. It won't disappoint you.
