Works great for guitar if set in pairs for stereo capture with two low mic stands. Sounds rich and certainly ready for a big production.

Comes with three holders, normal mic holder for stands, cup shape shock absorb holder for stands, clamp and mic holder for drums.

The price is a joke.

One thing though, don't try on opening the mic capsule, it will unscrew all the components and you'll end with the whole capsule in your hand and you can end twisting or just pulling off a cable by mistake (they're real small), so believe me, leave it close and never touch that.

Since I pride myself in not being afflicted by cognitive dissonance, as at least half the people on the planet are, I have to admit that after testing this mic against my SM 57 and Beta 57 Shure mics , I do feel kinda stupid... Do not get me wrong, I do love my SMs and Betas, that is the reason I have 5 and 3 of them respectively, but... Let me put it this way: I have a friend who is a brilliant guitarist and an even more brilliant sound engineer with a fantastic studio that he actually built himself from the ground up! And when I say "built" I mean exactly that! OK so far? Now, a long time ago, when I asked him what was the best method or type of device one could use in order to arrive in safe conclusions about sound equipment and instruments, he told me this: You only have to use the one device that nature gave you. The EAR METER!!! Meaning, you have to HEAR things and not depend exclusively on data, polar patterns, tone woods, pick ups and so on and so forth. Well, this is what I did with this mic. I recorded the exact 16 bars of a metal guitar riff of mine, played twice, with the exact same placing of all three mics through the exact same guitar rig... The results? After listening to the recordings for over an hour in various levels and panning placements A/B comparing channel per channel I came to this conclusion: If there is a notable difference, say above 2%, in clarity, volume, frequency response and sound texture between this mic and the Shures, I, for one, CANNOT HEAR IT!!! To my ears, however impaired they may be all three sound IDENTICAL. When I actually mixed them up and had my nephew rename them so that I could not know which one was which all debate became irrelevant and theoretical. They do SOUND the SAME!!! BTW I redacted one star from quality since I do not know if this mic is as battle hardened as the Shures... Last, but not least, as someone else has stated, the price is a JOKE!!! And the joke gets even funnier if you consider that Thomann offers a discount if you buy three or more together... What more do you want?
