Thomann CR-960GP Superior Cornet

I purchased the Cornet for my Wife who plays for a 1st Section British Brass Band in Yorkshire, United Kingdom.

The Cornet looks really good with the silver and lacquer finishing. In the normal Brass Band range the Cornet is open and free blowing. The 1st & 3rd triggers work well and allow sufficient tuning adjustment.

The piston valves on first use were sluggish, and difficult to use. We are fortunate to have an Instrument Repair Technician in our band and he was able to work on the valves, lapping them, and freeing them up. In addition there are some areas that are still sharp and not been addressed in the final QC checks.

The above problems were minor and easily remedied, and the resulting Cornet was very good and played very well, for the price.

My Wife is very happy with her Cornet, and it draws attention wherever she goes to play, at various Concerts, Contests, and other engagements.

Je l’ai reçu trois semaines après ma commande on me disait qu’il était en contrôle qualité mais après son arrivée il a fallu resserrer les vices sur le triger du troisième piston qui était tombé dès la première utilisation et celui du premier piston par précaution . Quelque petite surprise sur les pistons qui n’était pas vraiment propre alors pour moi ce qu’il appelle contrôle qualité a foiré. Mais un très Bon cornet pour ce prix suis très content de mon achat ! Je l’utilise chaque semaine et il fait le taff son aucun problème. Je le recommande fortement.

Wollte mir ein kornett zulegen, aber nicht gleich tausende Euro ausgeben, da ich es nur ein paar Mal im jahr brauche.
Und ich muss sagen, dass ich sehr begeistert bin. Top verarbeitet, Ventile laufen super, super leichte Ansprache, gute Intonation, und ein schöner klang.
Für das Geld wirklich ein klasse Instrument, welches man empfehlen kann
Dazu hat es zwei trigger, und sogar ein Sterlingsilber Mundrohr.... Dafür muss man sonst doch tief in die Tasche greifen
