Als hoch zufriedener Nutzer des Jan Ray vom selben Hersteller hab ich mittlerweile schon einiges aus dem Hause "Vemuram" probiert: das Galea, das Karen und zuletzt nun das Shanks...
Und leider kommt für mich keins dieser Pedale an die natürliche Offenheit des Jan Ray heran !
Das Shanks hat mehr Gain und zeigt für mich deutliche Fuzz- Anleihen, gerade im Bass- Bereich ist es mal "gepresst", dann wieder recht "gebläht"...in jedem Fall komprimiert es mehr als das Jan Ray, dadurch geht Offenheit und Natürlichkeit verloren.
mit anderen Worten: für mich persönlich ist das nicht so "Amp like" wie das Jan Ray.

Insofern ist und bleibt das Jan Rey für mich persönlich bisher unübertroffener König unter den Pedalen.
Je mehr Gain ein Pedal hat, desto unnatürlicher und mehr nach "Fremdkörper vorm Amp" klingt es für mich....

Der Preis ist darüber hinaus - Vemuram- typisch- auch sehr happig... ich persönlich würde auch keine 200 Euro dafür ausgeben wollen, aber das ist und bleibt natürlich rein subjektiv !
