Yamaha NTX3NT

I wanted a nylon string guitar to broaden my sound palette for recording. I also wanted a guitar which I would find
difficult to put down. I have never bought an instrument without first playing it , but since there were none of these available in the U.K. within 300 miles, and it appeared to be exactly what I wanted, I decided to order it from Thomann who had it in stock at a good price and had an excellent reputation for service.
When it arrived I tuned it and the the 'D' string buzzed a bit
when playing half way up the neck. The next day the neck
had settled and there was no problem. It has a great action
for a guitar of this type and I can't put it down - I love it.
It arrived extremely well packed. To call the fitted case a
"reinforced gig bag" does not do it justice - it is much more
than a bag. Thomann kept me informed throughout the
process and were a pleasure to deal with. Thank you.

J'ai revendu une Godin Nylon Duet que j'aimais beaucoup surtout dans le confort de jeu pour me payer cette guitare. Je ne regrette pas car ce que je cherchais c'est pouvoir m'enregistrer sans micro et avoir un rendu correct avec une guitare qui a une caisse de résonance. La Yamaha sonne pour moi plus naturelle que la Godin qui avait toujours ce côté "nasal" qui m'ennuyait un peu. Le manche est un tout petit peu moins confortable que la Godin mais est quand même très agréable. Le fait de pouvoir jouer débranché et d'avoir quand même la caisse de résonance est aussi pour moi un gros plus...je n'enregistre évidemment pas tout le temps. Donc en résumé une super bonne gratte, bon confort de jeu, bonne justesse et surtout un super son une fois branchée grâce au système Atmosfeel qui pour moi fait vraiment bien le job

The sound of the unamplified guitar is a little low due to the slim shape of the instrument's body. On the other hand, the amplified guitar sounds very good.
The guitar comes with its own case. The guitar case is high quality, made especially for the NTX3 body, with a rigid structure, offering excellent protection for the instrument.
The instrument also comes with instruction manuals for the guitar and the pickup system.
As for areas for improvement:
The nut and saddle could be made of better quality material (they are made of urea).
And the plastic piece that indicates the function of the pickup controls could be more firmly attached to the body of the guitar.

Ich war schon eine Zeit lang auf der Suche nach einer klassischen Gitarre mit Cutaway und Tonabnehmer, und nachdem ich eine günstige Yamaha und eine António Aparicio spiele, wollte ich eine mit weniger Sattelbreite.
Ich habe eine mit 43mm probiert, das hat mir aber aufgrund des Durchmessers, die Nylonsaiten haben und Stahlsaiten nicht, nicht gefallen.
Die Yamaha NTX-3 hat 48mm und ist für mich genau richtig.
Sie ist wunderschön verarbeitet und hat unplugged einen sehr schönen Ton, auch wenn dieser etwas leiser ist gegenüber meiner Antonio Aparicio - die Zargenbreite bei der NTX-3 ist vorne beim Hals 7,8cm und am anderen Ende (Klinkeneingang) 8,8cm. Bei einer normalen klassischen Gitarre sind das etwa 10cm, dazu beginnt der Korpus am 14.Bund, bei einer klassischen natürlich am 12.. Ich finde den Ansatz mit 14. Bund super, durch weniger Korpus-Länge und Tiefe hat man aber natürlich etwas weniger Lautstärke. Zum Vergleich habe ich eine Manuel Rodriguez C11 und eine Ortega RCE125SN probiert - ich habe sie nicht abgemessen, aber sie waren noch etwas dünner als die NTX3, mir gefielen diese Thinline Modelle weniger aufgrund der Haptik.
Das Atmosphere-Tonabnehmer System finde ich grandios. Das Umschalten zwischen MIC/Piezo mit Drehregler ist sehr angenehm. Im Vergleich zu meinem Shadow SH NFX-Mac würde ich jedenfalls sagen, dass das Atmosphere-System schöner klingt und natürlich mehr Einstellungsmöglichkeiten hat.
Der mitgelieferte Koffer ist sehr stabil, eine Gurtvorrichtung hat die Gitarre auch.

Das Gesamtpaket ist für 900€ einfach toll, vielleicht gibt es irgendwann einen Hersteller, der die gleiche Gitarre mit breiterem Zargen macht, aber bis dahin teilt sich diese Gitarre den Titel „Traumgitarre“ mit meiner Fender Telecaster und meiner Yamaha AEX 500.
